Pecha kucha was devised in Tokyo in February 2003 as an event for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public. The name Pecha Kucha draws it's name from the Japanese term for the sound of conversation "chit chat". The Pecha Kucha presentation format is based on a simple idea: 20 images x 20 seconds.
I am very excited to present at my first Pecha Kucha. I remember visiting the venue where the first Pecha Kucha was held when I lived in Japan six years ago and thinking what a fantastic idea to be involved in.
